Managers learn how to support employees to recognise their own abilities

Coaching is a powerful tool for a courageous leader. It is not a competency that you can get from books ̶ you have to practice. A management team in Skåne has now taken the first step toward this learning. They have enrolled in a longer leadership development programme, and for two days have been digging deeply into acquiring coaching skills. Many were enthusiastic when they saw the multitude of situations where they would be able to benefit from coaching in their day-to-day leadership. This included how they would be able to help their staff to see their own abilities and put them to use and to assume full responsibility.
